we have highlighted the DEV Tracks on Tuesday the 18th
October:
1) Johan Olivier,
Relate Technologies, South Africa who will be presenting a
track on "A Developer's mind-shift from SharePoint 2007 to
SharePoint 2010 " at 10:00am.
In this session Johan will talk the audience through
14 new areas of architectural changes in SharePoint 2010 and help
them to categorize the changes into smaller segments which can then
be prioritized to formulate their own training path. This
discussion will help the audience in two areas.
- It will help the audience to get a clear understanding of the
new changes in SharePoint 2010 and
- It will help the audience to adapt a set of habits and
practical steps which will enable them to structure their approach
to any new technology in a way which will guarantee success.

2) Wictor Wilen,
Microsoft Certified Master-SharePoint 2010, Connecta, Sweden will
be presenting on "Integrating Office 365 and Windows
Azure" at 11:15am.
This session will show how Office 365 (SharePoint Online,
Exchange Online and Lync Online) can work together with Windows
Azure to deliver solutions to external parties and how to integrate
Office 365 with on-premise applications. The session is developer
oriented and will show various ways and different techniques to get
the cloud services interacting.

Glessner, Data One GmbH, Germany will deliver a track on
"Diving Into the SharePoint 2010 Fluent User
Interface" Tuesday at 14:00.
In this expert session, SharePoint MVP Christian Glessner shares
a variety of valuable hints. He demonstrates by means of hands-on
examples, how developers can seamlessly integrate their
applications into the SharePoint 2010 user experience using the
Dialog framework, Ribbon extensions, and ASP.NET AJAX.

4) Donal
Hessing,VX Company IT Services BV, The Netherlands will
deliver a track on "Knowledge Management - Using Social
Features of SharePoint 2010" 16:15.
This session will first discuss the traditional knowledge
management model in which all knowledge items are stored in one
single repository. It then move forward and discuss the
multiple content repositories and how search plays a key role in
aggregating the knowledge that is most relevant for them.
