To give you an insight into the European SharePoint Conference we have highlighted the DEV Tracks on Wednesday the 19th October:

1)     Jan Tielens, Microsoft, who will be presenting a track on "0ffice 365 for Developers" Wednesday at 10:00am.

In this session Jan will talk the audience through how no code solutions can be created using SharePoint Designer and then dive into Visual Studio to show some sandboxed solutions and Silverlight integration. Since Office 365 is more than SharePoint only, we will show how you can code against your Exchange online and integrate Lync online functionality in your custom built applications. 2)      Wictor Wilen, Microsoft Certified Master-SharePoint 2010, Connecta, Sweden will be presenting on "Playing in the Sandbox" Wednesday at 11:15am.

This session will go through the details on how to develop for the SharePoint 2010 Sandbox. By building sandboxed solutions a whole new market opens up for ISVs and third party providers thanks to SharePoint 2010 and Office 365. By building solutions that targets the SharePoint sandbox end-users can install applications in a fail-safe way into SharePoint without involving administrators. 3)     Mirjam van Olst ,Avanade, The Netherlands, will deliver a track on "Using SharePoint Search to Develop Custom Solutions" Wednesday at 12:15.

This offers great possibilities to build custom solutions that use data that is indexed by the SharePoint search. This session will show some examples and will explain how to go about building your own custom solutions leveraging the SharePoint Search functionality.For more information on this session click here

4)    Andre Vala, Create IT, Portugal will deliver a track on "Using BCS to Integrate Azure Services with SharePoint 2010" Wednesday at 14:00.

In this expert session,  Andre talks about the main concepts and the type of solutions that can be developed using BCS, and we'll show how to integrate Azure Services with SharePoint 2010 and Office 2010 using BCS, Visual Studio 2010 and SharePoint Designer 2010. 5)    Samuel Zuercher (MVP), ADVIS AG, Switzerland, will deliver a track on "SharePoint for the Internet - Automate Your Deployment" Wednesday at 15:00.

6)     Paolo Pialorsi, DevLeap, Italy will deliver a track on "Developing a SharePoint 2010 Service Application" Wednesday at 16:15.

In this session we will start with a quick recall of the overall architecture of Service Applications and we will dive into development of a custom Service Application by using the Service Application Framework (SAF). It is a session targeting developers with a deep knowledge of SharePoint's basics.
