Developing a SharePoint 2010 Service Application

W28: SharePoint 2010 introduced the new concept of Service Applications, replacing the already existing Shared Services and the Shared Services Provider of MOSS2007. In this session we will start with a quick recall of the overall architecture of Service Applications and we will dive into development of a custom Service Application by using the Service Application Framework (SAF). It is a session targeting developers with a deep knowledge of SharePoint's basics. The goal is to understand the potentials that can be realized using SAF, being able to determine when building custom services is useful.
