ARX, provider of the leading CoSign® digital signature solution, has recently launched the beta version of its new Developers Portal, where developers can easily access the tools they need to develop digital signature-enabled applications using SAPI®, ARX’s Signature API .

The portal offers a variety of code samples for common programming languages that demonstrate common usages of SAPI, such as digitally signing PDF documents or validating a digital signature on an electronic document. For easy access, these code samples may be sorted by language or by subject, and a free text search is also available. Further, code samples are freely available and may be accessed by non-registered users. The Developers Portal also includes a new, dedicated forum that allows developers to discuss opinions and ideas with one another in a closed environment. Participating in forum discussions requires being a registered developer, but discussions may be viewed here.

To take full advantage of the Developers Portal, a person should first register for a Developers Account. Registered developers can then download the CoSign Software Bundle, which includes the SAPI SDK, a high-level, simple API for digital signatures, and SAPI File providers for easily signing Word, Excel®, PDF, Tiff, XML, and InfoPath files. The Bundle also includes a CoSign Agent, a core component that enables SAPI to communicate with a CoSign appliance.
