Tommie is a passionate and enthusiastic founder of the purpose-driven global business @BambuuBrush, which works with some of the world’s most influential companies— such as Virgin Atlantic, Etihad Airways, LUSH Cosmetics, Channel 4, and Clean the World—to inspire positive change through sustainable products, educational workshops, and impact projects. Tommie’s love of travel evolved into a passion for sustainable travel after living in Asia for over seven years, where he witnessed firsthand the harmful effects of plastic pollution—not only on the environment but also on people in lower socio-economic regions. This experience inspired him to create a business for good.
Since launching the business, Tommie and his partner Rebecca have sold over 10,250,000 bamboo toothbrushes, preventing more than 205,000 kg of plastic from entering commercial circulation. They’ve educated over 6,500 children, organized and supported more than 60 impact projects around the world, and have had the honor of speaking at COP26. Most recently, Tommie delivered a TEDx Talk on why he believes Net Zero should not be our ultimate goal for sustainability, advocating instead for a transition toward a circular economy.
A natural and powerful partnership has also developed through Tommie’s role with Clean the World and CTW Events, where he serves as Global Circularity Ambassador.
In this role, he helps expand the global reach of Clean the World’s hospitality recycling program and CTW Events’ employee engagement activations—creating direct, measurable impact for vulnerable communities around the world.
