Day 2 of ESPC kicked off with a spellbinding session on ‘Machine Learning in Practice’ from Project Botticelli’s Rafal Lukawiecki. In his own inimitable style, Rafal focused on helping attendees cut through the hype to make machine learning work for you. The key point raised by Rafal was that we should Build intelligent intelligence and not artificial stupidity.
With the tension amongst the finalists in the room palpable, the winners of four of the five ESPC Community Awards were also announced on the main stage before Rafal’s keynote. A huge congraulation to the following winners, who managed to hold off some exceptionally strong competition to take the main prize in their chosen category;
Kanbo – Winner of Best Office 365 Add-in
SPDocKit – Winner of the Best Management Solution
Valo Intranet Winner of the Best Intranet/Extranet Solution
Colligo – Winner of the Best Mobile Solution
Following the previous evening’s Hackathon led by Microsoft’s Mike Ammerlaan, Mike was delighted to announce the winner of the 2017 ESPC Hackathon. The prize went to Velin Georgiev and Joon Du Rant from Pramerica.
Day 2 of ESPC went out with a bang as 700 guests assembled at the ESPC Black & White party at the Guinness Storehouse. An evening of amazing entertainment, fun and connecting with old and new colleagues and friends was enjoyed by all, all over a pint of the black stuff (including the chance to learn how to pour your own) at one of Ireland’s most popular tourist destinations.
