This hands-on lab (HOL) is created for IT professionals with little or no experience with Azure virtual machines and related infrastructure resources. Following the detailed lab guide, attendees will learn how to create, manage, secure, and scale virtual machine resources. They will configure networking in a secure way, choose the right disk storage, use the Azure portal and Azure scripting and automation to create, start, stop, and perform other management tasks related to virtual machines in Azure. Using Azure Automation and DSC, they will build web servers and deploy update management solution to them. At the end of the lab, attendees will use Azure Resource Manager template to describe a VM deployment with code, enabling them to deploy faster and more reliably.
