Deploying artifacts to Office 365 and SharePoint using PowerShell

As the official guidance on how to deploy SharePoint artifacts has changed we need to look at other ways of provisioning functionality to our sites. The feature framework is not to be used anymore, but still you want to push out a list to several sites without clicking around? The Office 365 Patterns and Practices PowerShell cmdlets is created to follow this new guidance and makes it very easy to create sites, add lists, create site columns, hook up an event receiver (and much more) with just some short commands. I will explain how to use it, what to use it for, and how to create successful deployment scripts. I will introduce you to the mechanics of the PowerShell cmdlets and how you can extend the library with your own functionality.

In this session you will:
– Learn how to deploy artifacts to SharePoint Online with PowerShell
– Learn how to extend the Office 365 PnP Cmdlets with your own functionality
– Build great and easy to maintain deployment scripts
