Expanding User Profiles with Line of Business Data

SharePoint 2013 uses ForeFront Identity Manager client (FIM) to synchronize between Active Directory, external Line-of-Business (LOB) data systems and SharePoint. However, SharePoint Server 2016 IT Preview no longer uses FIM as the synchronisation client. In this session, you will learn how to enhance your User Profiles in SharePoint 2013 and SharePoint 2016 with data from external LOB systems. For SharePoint 2013 we will review using FIM and BCS, and for SharePoint 2016 IT Preview we will review using Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM) 2016 for identity synchronisation.
