Office 365 Developers Patterns & Practices in Real Business Solutions

Office Developer Patterns & Practices (http://aka.ms/OfficeDevPnP) is a community project, led by people from Microsoft and managed by a Core Team of technical people. The goal of the project is to share tools, samples, guidance, tutorials, and knowledge about how to migrate and transform old school development solutions to the development model for SharePoint 2013/2016 and SharePoint Online, as well as for Microsoft Office 365. The OfficeDev PnP project provides a set of open source samples and libraries that can be used in real business projects to improve productivity and code quality. During this tutorial you will learn from the speaker – who is one of the Core Team members of OfficeDev PnP – how to leverage tools like the PnP Core Library to easily develop SharePoint solutions (both on-premises or on the cloud).

Moreover, you will understand what is the PnP Remote Provisioning Engine, and you will see how to manage multiple environments like development, testing/staging, and production automating the provisioning and the maintenance of artefacts and configurations. You will understand how to create Remote Timer Jobs with the new development model. Moreover, you will see the PnP Partner Pack solution in action, learning how to provide managed self-service site creation to your end users. You will experience how you can customise the UI of Microsoft SharePoint Online, without changing any master page. You will see how to automate the process of creating Office 365 Groups to improve users’ collaboration.  You will understand what are the best patterns and practices for mastering the development of Office 365 Applications, and especially for SharePoint on-premises and SharePoint Online, in order to have a better return of investment and code portability across premises.
