Road to the Modernization of your SharePoint Solutions

Tutorial Time: 10:00 – 17:00 CEST

The so-called “modern” UI of SharePoint has been introduced by Microsoft in 2017 and is the one that allows consuming SharePoint Online (and nowadays on-premises, too) through a modern experience, responsive, usable, fluent, mobile-aware, etc. On the contrary, the previous user experience is now called “classic”.

However, most of the businesses still have tons of “classic” Team Sites, “classic” Publishing Sites, and even “classic” Team Sites with the Publishing Features enabled. Thus, it is not always easy and straightforward to migrate existing classic sites and their content toward the new “modern” experience.

In this tutorial you will learn what the best patterns and tools are, most of them provided by the Microsoft 365 PnP community project, to migrate your sites to the “modern” UI and – generally speaking – to modernize your end-users’ experience.

The tutorial targets SharePoint Online site designers and developers, who have basic experience of creating and designing intranet and portals with SharePoint Online.

Benefits of Attending this Session:

  1. Understand the challenges of migrating from “classic” to “modern” UI
  2. Learn how to migrate existing sites to the “modern” UI
  3. See what are the modernization patterns and tools provided by Microsoft 365 PnP
