SharePoint technology (in the cloud or on-premises) may be the centre of our universe, it’s a big universe. Modern business solutions can and will draw on people both inside and outside your company. They make use of content, services, and data from other parts of Office 365 and other Software-as-a-Service offerings. Solutions will be built not only by professional developers, but by what Gartner calls “citizen developers” using what Forrester calls “low-code tools”. Who controls the money is changing too. IT management and development are about to get a lot more interesting, and more people are going to be involved.
