Microsoft announces SharePoint 2016 RTM and Future of SharePoint Virtual Conference.

Microsoft yesterday (14th March 2016) announced SharePoint 2016 SharePoint 2016 RTM (Release to Manufacturing) stage.

This Is a major and exciting milestone for SharePoint 2016. Learn more in the SharePoint Server 2016 reviewer’s guide or download a trial of the RTM version. SharePoint Server 2016 will be generally available in the Microsoft Volume Licensing Service Center in early May. Watch the following video by Microsoft, as William Baer outlines what’s new for admins in SharePoint Server 2016:

Future of SharePoint Virtual Conference

Microsoft also announced an exciting virtual conference would be taking place on May 4, 2016 to celebrate SharePoint 2016 and unveil Microsoft’s vision and roadmap for the future of SharePoint. This conference will be lead by Jeff Teper, CVP for OneDrive and SharePoint (Watch Jeff, Seth Patton and William Baer within the ESPC15 headline keynote here). Jeff will outline Microsoft’s vision and future plans for SharePoint and OneDrive for Business—both on-premises and in the cloud with Office 365.
