Microsoft has long understood that tech innovation is driven by people and that technology is only as powerful as the individuals behind it. On the 24th June 2025, in Dublin, Ireland, Microsoft demonstrated its commitment to celebrating those people through its annual Power Women in Tech Awards. This award ceremony recognises the women shaping the future of business and technology across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
This year’s Microsoft Power Women in Tech Awards drew 368 nominations from partner organisations across 20 countries and regions. This showcases the incredible depth of leadership, innovation, and impact women are making in the tech sector. Microsoft announced the 20 winners for 2025 who are all trailblazing women who drive meaningful transformation through technology. The winners represent a diverse range of roles and industries – from cloud security to AI innovation – across countries throughout EMEA.
Now in its third year, the Power Women in Tech Awards shine a spotlight on industry leaders, change-makers, and rising talent. Through this programme, Microsoft aims to elevate voices and stories that often go under-recognised, while building a more inclusive and representative tech ecosystem. “Diversity and recognition are not just values; they’re accelerators of innovation,” said a Microsoft spokesperson. “By spotlighting these women, we’re spotlighting what progress looks like.”
Through programmes like this, Microsoft is directly contributing to:
- Increased visibility for women in technical leadership roles.
- Career development through mentoring, networking, and community.
- Cultural change in organisations that see these stories and are inspired to invest in similar leadership pathways.
In a year dominated by headlines about AI and hardware, it’s refreshing to see a major tech company making space for something more timeless: the power of people.
