Featured eBook you should read;
I recommended you to read ‘Rapid SharePoint 2013 Collaboration Solution Development and Deployment’ because who said you don’t need a developer to make SharePoint look good? This book is for solution developers wanting to know how to build proper branding solutions for SharePoint using customizations and configurations built into a product.

Featured SharePoint Video;
The video I recommend is SharePoint Branding and User Interface Design. This one hour SharePoint branding webinar by Asif Rehmani gives you a solid understanding of how you can improve user interface and brand your site with visual elements you have seen online or have been provided by a professional design team.
