ESPC17 Chosen Charity: Nuts Over the Atlantic

Nuts over the Atlantic

ESPC17 is proud to support the Nuts Over the Atlantic crew, a group of four friends, Dan, Steve, Mark and Jon, who are taking part in this year’s Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge. The Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge is one of the toughest races on Earth. The team will row more than 3,000 nautical miles across the world’s second largest ocean, the Atlantic and, in doing so, face 40ft waves, salt sores, sharks, sleep deprivation and relentless physical exertion. More people have been into space, or climbed Everest than have rowed the Atlantic. This is all in aid of a fantastic cause, the Movember Foundation!

The ‘Nuts’ are aiming to raise £100,000 to support their chosen charity, tackling prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health issues. These are all causes that have touched the guys in one way or another. During ESPC17 you will have a chance to meet the team of rowers, and take on their rowing challenge on two machines.

If you want to join the team and raise money for the Movember Foundation alongside the Nuts, click through, press the “Join this team” button, and register your own page. You don’t have to grow a moustache for the month – you can take on your own physical challenge* or fundraise however you like, whether that’s through a pub quiz or bake sale.
