Q: is there a way to authenticate sp hosted app to another server which uses oauth for example? where to store secret keys? sp lists or there is a better way?

Certainly! You must be careful of storing OAuth keys though. Since you are having an App authenticate into another server, for sure you should keep the keys server side, and all such interaction should be on server side. Keeping these keys secure is “key” 🙂

Q: There is a news which I have heard from somewhere, this need not be true but will Microsoft not release any more versions of SharePoint, they will just release more apps going forward from SharePoint 2013.

I don’t work for Microsoft, so I cannot give you an official answer. However, given the number of customers that are on-prem, I find this highly unlikely. That said, you will see further on-prem versions be not as compelling and Office 365 innovations far outpacing on-prem. This again, is just my opinion.

Q: With respect to managing a list which has more items and List threshold of 5000 items. which one is better CSOM or REST?

It doesn’t matter, internally the queries they execute on the DB are the same.
