If you’re building a canvas app that will be used inside Microsoft Teams, ideally you want it to look like a Teams-native application. Very similar to the ones that code-first developers create. But how do they get their apps to look Teams-native? Part of the secret is the Teams UI Toolkit: the set of design standards for Microsoft Teams apps that is shared publicly by Microsoft.
In this session we will first answer the question why we, as Makers, should even think about app design. We will also take a look at the Teams UI toolkit, where to find it and how to work with it. Finally, we will apply the guidelines to an example app and see the difference it makes. At the end of the session, you will have all the tools in hand to apply this to your own Teams canvas apps.
