Luis Aguilera, the Director of Manufacturing at GEFCO Inc. since June 1980, has come a long way from his early days in Aguascalientes, Mexico. His parents instilled in him a love of athletics and education, which led him to excel in soccer, triathlons, and kung fu. Despite facing challenges, including becoming the family breadwinner at 14 due to his father’s illness, Aguilera persevered.

His diverse career path includes teaching high school math and physics, winning MIT’s physics and mathematics tournament in 1996, and receiving a Dale Carnegie Institute award in 2013. Aguilera’s philosophy centers on efficiency, continuous improvement, and serving others. He has significantly boosted GEFCO’s production flow while maintaining a balance between work and family.
