There are so many terms in the LGBTQ+ sphere that it can be hard to keep track and remember them all, particularly if you’re not part of the community. This can sometimes lead to a bigger divide between the LGBTQ+ community and non-queer people; this talk aims to narrow this gap and empower you to be a better ally through a deeper understanding of terms.=

Are you allowed to say the word ‘queer’? How do we define ‘non-binary’? How does it differ from ‘trans’?

These questions, and many more, will be answered by me, a queer non-binary person, informed by my experiences in the tech world. The session is a safe and judgement-free zone designed to cultivate a more inclusive and respectful workplace. Attendees will leave this session with a better understanding of definitions, and feeling more confident in being a better ally to the queer community. “
