Arun is the Corporate Vice President of Azure Data at Microsoft.
Arun leads product management, engineering, and cloud operations for databases, data integration, big data analytics, messaging, business intelligence, and cognitive search. The products in his team’s portfolio include Azure SQL DB, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure PostgreSQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Grid, and Power BI.
Previously, as the General Manager of the APAC Cloud & Enterprise Division, Arun was responsible for growing Microsoft’s Windows Azure, Windows Server, SQL Server, and Business Intelligence businesses for Microsoft in the Asia Pacific region based out of Singapore. Before moving to Singapore, Arun held worldwide accountability for growing Microsoft’s SQL Server business with enterprise customers.
Kim Manis is the Corporate Vice President of Product Management for Microsoft Fabric & Power BI.
Microsoft Fabric is an end-to-end analytics platform that covers everything from data movement, data engineering, data warehousing, data science, real-time analytics, and business intelligence. AI is infused throughout the experience, allowing data practitioners and business users to find insights faster than ever.
Before her time on the Fabric & Power BI teams, Kim worked on all sorts of products ranging from productivity software, social networks, and online retail. She lives and works in New York.
Jessica heads product marketing for Data, Artificial Intelligence, and Digital Applications at Microsoft, helping refine the story of some of Microsoft’s most exciting product offerings that help customers achieve more in their data and AI applications, analytics and data science systems, and emerging technologies. She focuses on product strategy, go to market, sales enablement, industry alignment, and drives market making execution and outcomes.
Prior to joining Microsoft, Jessica co-founded the well-respected, Azure-focused partner Capax Global, which merged with Hitachi Solutions in 2019 under her stewardship to become one of a select few Microsoft “Super Partners” covering all aspects of Microsoft’s cloud offerings. She oversaw Capax’s Azure Cloud business including P&L, product strategy, finance and operations, recruiting and team development, and acted as an executive liaison to Microsoft for both Capax Global and Hitachi Solutions.
Before that, she spent nine years at the Associated Press and continues to be a staunch advocate for freedom of the press. Jessica has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia.
Shireesh is the Corporate Vice President of Azure Databases at Microsoft.
Shireesh leads product management, engineering, and cloud operations for Azure Databases. The products in his team’s portfolio include Azure SQL Database (on-prem, Hybrid and Cloud), Azure Cosmos DB, Azure PostgreSQL, and Azure MySQL.
Previously, as the Senior Vice President at SingleStore, Shireesh was responsible for end-to-end engineering and product vision of the company.
Before moving to SingleStore, Shireesh was a founding member of Cosmos DB, where he architected, designed, and directly contributed to multiple key pieces of the services.
Shireesh has 20+ years of experience on large scale, big data, scale-out, relational and schema agnostic distributed systems across SQL, Azure Cosmos DB and PostgreSQL/Citus.
Marco Casalaina is VP Products of Azure AI and AI Futurist at Microsoft.
Marco leads the AI Futures team, which finds trends and develops products that will lead to the next generation of AI. He has previously led a number of teams across Azure AI, including Azure OpenAI, Vision, Speech, Decision, Language, Responsible AI, and AI Studio.
Prior to coming to Microsoft, Marco led the Einstein AI team at Salesforce. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Cornell University.
