ESPC26 Programme Team: Meet Rik Hepworth

For ESPC26, we’re happy to welcome Rik Hepworth to the Programme Team.

Rik is an MVP (Azure & Developer Technologies) and RD since many years and has spoken at ESPC before in Copenhagen and Amsterdam; and if you’ve ever worked in SharePoint and Azure circles, chances are you’ve crossed paths. He brings a rare mix of deep Azure knowledge and proper old-school IT experience; the kind that starts with pulling cables and ends in boardroom conversations about cloud strategy.

He recently founded Zure UK and just wrapped the first year – Congratulations to this milestone! Alongside running a company, he continues to invest in community through Global Azure and long-standing involvement in UK developer events. That community mindset fits ESPC perfectly.

On the Programme Team, Rik is looking forward to shaping a strong Azure story across the board. AI will absolutely be part of the conversation; and so will the foundations that make it work in the real world: Governance, DevOps, architecture, modernization, and the lessons learned from years in production.

We’re very glad to have him on board: With grey hair and a solid Lego habit, telling war stories. Welcome, Rik.
