Michael McKiernan is a senior database professional with over 18 years in both the private and public sector and the Practice Lead – Business Intelligence and Database Technologies at getAlbert.ca. He has wide ranging experience in Microsoft SQL Server database technologies including: automation, data migrations, data warehousing, disaster recovery, SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, and  MSSQL–.NET programming including SMO. Michael recently completed an engagement at the House of Commons in Canada using SSIS and Web Services to import financial data in real time to a COTS product recently deployed at the House from their current production system. Currently he has been engaged in projects around the Microsoft Self-service BI offerings including Power Query and Power Pivot. In his spare time Michael enjoys traveling, running, and biking
