SharePoint 2013 has an array of new features across different workloads. Enterprise search is one of the workloads that encompass a lot of updates and enhancements. This blog article lists the main new features that have been enhanced/added to SharePoint 2013.
Adlib PDF Publisher is included in the SharePoint 2013 Marketplace Preview which is a new cloud-based, Windows Azure-hosted application that enables business users to accurately convert documents to PDF and automate the merging and formatting of multiple documents to a single PDF. Organizations can improve collaboration through the distribution of accurate and controlled compound documents to colleagues and customers.

K2 conducted a survey within the European SharePoint community to get a better understanding of how organisations are implementing SharePoint, what types of usage scenarios they are using, and where they struggle with developing applications that meet business requirements.
While we appreciate the support of these sponsors, we also greatly value our objectivity and independence as a non-profit industry association. The results of the survey and the market commentary made in this report are independent of any bias from the vendor community.
The survey was taken using a web-based tool by 551 individual members of the AIIM community between May 30th, and June 25th, 2012. Invitations to take the survey were sent via e-mail to a selection of the 65,000 AIIM community members.
Survey demographics can be found in Appendix 1. Graphs throughout the report exclude responses from organizations with less than 10 employees, and suppliers of ECM products or services, taking the number of respondents to 488.
The Design View no longer exists in SharePoint Designer 2013. This changes the way we work with (or used to work with) all sorts of visual elements in SharePoint.
I have been meaning to write this post for a very long time, but there is so much I want to say, I couldn’t find the time until now to hunker down and say it all (or at least most of it). So here we go.
If you’re currently working with SharePoint 2010 you know that it’s not a power user task to build content roll ups spanning across multiple sites. With SharePoint 2010 you can do that with one web part and without requiring a knowledge of a query language, at least in basic scenarios.

Search functionality in SharePoint 2013 Preview includes several enhancements including custom content processing with the Content Enrichment web service, and a new framework for presenting search result types. Additionally, there have been significant enhancements made to the keyword query language (KQL). Search is a hot topic within SharePoint 2013, below is a summary of some of the search enhancements:

Sometimes we face a need when we upload large files like 100MB, and what happens is error or timeout.. so we can configure 2 different values to over come the timeout and the error. Step 1: In Central Administration: This is due a settings in Central Administration. You can change this by opening to Central Administration > Application Management > select your web application and from ribbon click General Settings and choose “General Settings”
